Step 2: Register with the CRB

Each CRB has a unique registration process:

  1. TransUnion:

    • Dial *212# on your mobile phone and follow the prompts.
    • Pay a one-time registration fee of KSh 50 via M-Pesa.

  2. Metropol:

    • Dial *433# to register.
    • Pay a registration fee of KSh 50 via M-Pesa.

  3. Creditinfo Kenya:

Step 3: Access Your Credit Report

  1. Once registered, you can check your credit report to ensure all your financial records are accurate.
  2. Each CRB allows you to access one free credit report per year.

Step 4: Apply for the Clearance Certificate

  1. Log in to your CRB account (via their website or app).
  2. Request a CRB Clearance Certificate.
  3. Pay the clearance fee:
    • TransUnion: KSh 2,200
    • Metropol: KSh 2,200
    • Creditinfo Kenya: KSh 2,200

Step 5: Receive Your Certificate

  1. After payment, the CRB will process your request.
  2. You will receive your certificate via email or download it directly from your CRB account.
